The Association is pleased to announce the provision of a four (4) bursaries each values at $250AUD to assist PhD and Research Masters candidates to attend ‘Dissents and Dispositions’ Conference of the Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia 11 – 14 December 2017.

APPLICATION

Applications for Bursaries close 5:00pm 25 August 2017.

Bursaries will be awarded by the Management Committee of the Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia. Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be advised by 15 September 2017.

The Committee’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

CRITERIA

  1. Applicant must be enrolled in a PhD or Research Master Program at an Australian, New Zealand or Asian University.
  2. Applicant must have a paper selected or submitted to present at Dissent and Dispositions, Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia Conference 11 – 14 December 2017.
  3. Applicant must provide a brief statement outlining how their paper and postgraduate research contributes to the development of law and the humanities.
  4. Applicant must provide a current CV.

EXPECTATIONS

It will be expected that successful applicant will attend the Postgraduate Workshop on 11 December as well as attend each day of the main conference.

It will be expected that successful applicants will provide a brief (500 word maximum) (a) overview of their paper; or (b) reflections on the conference for posting on the Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia website (https://lawlithum.org/) by 28 February 2018.

It will also be expected that the successful applicants will submit their final paper for publication in a relevant peer reviewed journal. Each successful applicant will be nominated a member of the Association’s executive to assist with mentoring the paper through to publication.
